TOZHSAMIST began humbly in late 2023, a grassroots initiative fueled by a desire to reflect the diversity of Ukrainian identity. By early 2024, it had grown into a registered Civic Society Organization, dedicated to documenting the stories that make us who we are. From quiet moments of reflection to bold cultural expressions, these narratives aim to foster cohesion.
Today, Ukraine’s national and cultural identity is awakening and TOZHSAMIST is here to nurture this renaissance, capturing the beauty of our shared experiences while offering a vision of hope for the generations to come. This is not just a project; it’s an invitation to belong.

Human Rights
The concept of human rights has been recognized throughout history, but in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) firmly established the idea of "universal human rights."
In the aftermath of WWII’s atrocities, the UDHR's authors understood the urgent need to declare that all humans are entitled to fundamental rights, such as the right to life, freedom from torture, and freedom from discrimination. At the core of these rights lies the principle of treating every individual with equality and respect—ensuring fairness, dignity, and recognition for all.
